Christian Louboutin’s new men’s footwear line is quite provocative to say the least. It has the high-end fashion world in a buzz. But who is going to wear these outrageous sneakers and spiked shoes? I can tell you that no man I know would be even seen anywhere near a shoe store that carries them. If you are in the theater, on stage, or going to a costume party just maybe you would wear these but would you pay almost $2,000 for them? I must be living in another world.

The new Christian Louboutin Fall collection is already out. I see some fabulously delish platforms and boots among the group. They all come with a hefty pricetag but that is what you expect to pay because you are buying the name, Christian Louboutin.

My favorites are the Satin Crisscross Slide. Vibrant satin forms a wrapped design on top of the platform and the pink crisscross upper forms the peep toe. Of course it has the signature red sole and this pump has a 1″ covered platform and 5″ heel. Made in Italy.

Next we have the Lace-up Leather Oxford Bootie. It is a throwback to the 20s and 30s when women wore ankle dresses. A sensuous, feminine take on the classic oxford. The platform and peep toe make the Lady Derby an ideal bootie. These shoes have a 7/8″ covered platform and 5″ covered heel.

The Button Flannel Bootie is unique and has a military flare with gleaming buttons along the upper and a peep toe opening. They also have a 1-1/8″ covered platform and 6″ covered heel. With signature red sole they are also made in Italy.

Boots are always in style during the Fall and Winter months and this over-the-knee suede platform boots are a new look for Fall. I am not sure if I like them or not. They seem to be skin tight and that might wearing them more fashionable than comfortable. These Christian Louboutin boots feature top-stitching and crescent toe to define the leg. They have an ankle zipper to make them easy to get on and off. The 1″ platform is cover and they have a 5″ heel. Signature red sole and made in Italy.
